About Smith & lee
Gareth Smith and Jenny Lee are a husband and wife directing team.
In 2003, Smith and Lee met while working together for esteemed projection designer, Elaine J. McCarthy on a new Broadway musical called Wicked.
Two years later, Lee moved to Los Angeles and the two began creating title sequences. Their first title sequence was for Jason Reitman's first feature, Thank You For Smoking.
More than 25 film and TV title sequences later, including sequences for Juno, Up in the Air, Cinema Verite, and
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, they have continued to combine their passion for filmmaking, animation, and design.
In 2015, to get back to their filmmaking roots, Smith and Lee co-directed the short film, Worst-Case Scenario, Inc. based on a short story by Kevin Wilson.
Smith and Lee hope to continue to make short films, video portraits, experimental videos, and branded content.
